Wow! It has been 14 years on May 24th that Micah went home to be with the Lord. That sentence sounds so old...like he was 82 and lived a long life. Actually Micah was 33 when he died.
I look back and think how fast the time has flown. I moved from Bayberry to Sunnyvale a lifetime ago. The children have grown from 12 -5-3months to 26 -19 and 14.
I vividly remember his smile....laughter....love for our family and the burning desire he had to know God.
We just had our 14th annual Micah tournament. It is a golf tournament that benefits children and youth that cant go to camp. Through the years God has used it to change kids lives...at camp we have seen kids cross the line of faith....accept the call of ministry....and so much more.
It is good for my children to see the legacy of their father....know what his heartbeat was....to give Glory to God.
No rain this time....cloudy...windy...but no rain. There was one point sitting on a golf cart and seeing men and women playing on every side of me....I felt God in such a powerful way. His smile warmed my face and I felt His Holiness. Grace is so powerful....or almost 14 years it has surrounded me.
If you havent though about the child that needs to go to camp but cant....think about helping him or her. The difference you make could be eternal or them.
