New Journey
Well this morning was the first morning of our new journey! We are trying to lose weight :) We weighted in yesterday at church but to my disappointment I weighted too much for it to register. Very depressing. BUT...pressing on. I decided not to ride my TRIKE to work today. Running late. SO Darla and I decided we would ride this evening. Lord give me the energy, desire and discipline to do this tonight.
Jenny and Hannah are joining the journey too. So proud of them. The Lord has given me two beautiful daughters.
Ok...so I dont have groceries yet so I ate an egg and 1 piece of toast this morning. I brought tuna fish, bread, walnuts and a sugar free jello for today. Wish I had some fruit. It helps when you eat a sandwich....oh well tomorrow. :)

The Micah
Wow! It has been 14 years on May 24th that Micah went home to be with the Lord. That sentence sounds so old...like he was 82 and lived a long life. Actually Micah was 33 when he died.
I look back and think how fast the time has flown. I moved from Bayberry to Sunnyvale a lifetime ago. The children have grown from 12 -5-3months to 26 -19 and 14.
I vividly remember his smile....laughter....love for our family and the burning desire he had to know God.
We just had our 14th annual Micah tournament. It is a golf tournament that benefits children and youth that cant go to camp. Through the years God has used it to change kids lives...at camp we have seen kids cross the line of faith....accept the call of ministry....and so much more.
It is good for my children to see the legacy of their father....know what his heartbeat was....to give Glory to God.
No rain this time....cloudy...windy...but no rain. There was one point sitting on a golf cart and seeing men and women playing on every side of me....I felt God in such a powerful way. His smile warmed my face and I felt His Holiness. Grace is so powerful....or almost 14 years it has surrounded me.
If you havent though about the child that needs to go to camp but cant....think about helping him or her. The difference you make could be eternal or them.
